Lacey VanderJagt - Art Conservator

Knowing an artwork's story can help you to understand the artwork and its significance to the world. Whether that world be the walls of a museum or the walls of a home.

Hello! Art conservation is the specialty of mending damaged artworks to preserve their history and importance. This can include a multi-million dollar painting to a family bible, and everything in between.

Going beyond art conservation, Lacey also provides assistance with:

  • Framing

  • Art handling

  • Preservation

  • Cataloguing

Lacey grew up in the deserts of Arizona and experienced the world with avid traveling. Exploring her love of history, culture, art and food.

During this time, Lacey came to appreciate how certain objects within a family - photographs, documents, books, etc. - were important to shaping that family's history. Working as an independent conservator has allowed Lacey to help preserve that history and its meaning.

Lacey continues to conserve artworks, as well as teach the importance of conservation to students and professionals alike.
